the Fight against Ageism

Come on over to my...Radio Station

Jeffrey Kelly presents...the everyday fight/onslaught against Ageism.

One thing I have to say about JKpresents...and more generally about DundalkFm100...it's broadcasters, the team of Studio staff, Technicians, Administrative, Programming Committee and it's Board of Governors...and I hope to say this only one more time...

We are a Team here at DundalkFM100...a Team of "Volunteers" from the community of Dundalk and it's vast hinterland...who got off their collective arse's one fine day and set forth on a road that was to eventually lead to our very own Independant Community Radio Station...DundalkFM100.

On JKpresents...I attempt the process of radio communication in order to reach a vast and growing Local, National and International world population that so that we all might benefit each other from lifes experience...I use the Arts generally and thebunker... an Arts Activist project to improve the lot of those in our community...who by their enforced social status are disenfranchised...by the rest of Irish Society,

In the main...those people YOU pass by in the street...and thank your chosen God or whoever YOU take refuge behind...and say to yourelf and then point out to your children...that's what happens when you are not...blah...blah...blah.

The music I choose to play is because of it's [the music's] relevence to the topical issue[s]... I may or may not present to the listening public each week...that choice is my choice an "eclectic mix"...to better illustrate my minds intention of addressing such issues that cause...small discomfort to the majority of Irish society.

DundalkFM100 broadcasts with over 60 trained broadcasters that help in the production and presentation of 106 hours of topical local radio.

Last year our efforts resulted in an outside broadcast unit.

We begin broadcasting at 8am each morning with PaddyMac and continue on....until the midnight hour.

As a "Volunteer" broadcaster...I pay all my own expenses...from this computer I am typing with...thebunker and it's upkeep...telephone communication's... hosting service...for my website...travel expenses to and from interviews...research...and petition's to raise money for Arts project[s]...Blah...Blah...Blah

So why? am I telling you all this...because I walk it...like I talk it...and I know U don't give a shite? Or do U?hmn

I will Air your music without prejudice...only YOU know if/when YOUR music is good enough to present to YOUR public...also my overall listenership for Jeffrey Kelly presents... would except no less a standard...I may be shite but the music...certainly is...not.

If you ask me...I'll give you MY opinion of your Artistic works...but don't be upset if I say it's crap and you should go away and have a good think about it...

All music artist's who get aired on my show are "professional Musicians" ...inasmuch...some signed some not U spot the difference but they are original in content with there chosen genre and are attempting to make a living from their artistic output.

As a broadcaster I hold no vested interest in doing my creative works...other than the points I make in the above writing...my reward is simply in itself...an opportunity to further my chosen artform. jk
